The Competitive Events Program is designed to provide a system for recognizing the competencies developed by members through Health Science and Biomedical Science class instruction, related job training, and HOSA related activities. HOSA does not provide competition for competition’s sake. HOSA provides a national competitive events program as a means of recognizing those students who are willing to pursue excellence by preparing for competition and having the determination to attend a conference and participate in a competitive event, and Montana students have the opportunity to compete at both the State Leadership Conference (SCL) and, if they quality, the International Leadership Conference (ILC).

As no two national HOSA charter organizations look alike, our Montana SLC is sometimes runs a little bit differently than at the International Leadership Conference (ILC) or in other states. We have created “short sheets” for each of the competitive events for you to see what they look like and how the scoring rounds will be done on our site. They will include: equipment you are required to bring, a basic description of the event, how our rounds will be done in Montana, and the scoring rubrics. Updated short sheets for each event, along with, new video tutorials are coming soon!
