The Public Health event is an Emergency Preparedness event for a team of 2-6 people. Teams will create a community presentation of no longer than 9 minutes and give it within their community. This year’s topic is “Reducing Health Disparities: Social Determinants of Health Can Help!”
At Montana SLC, teams will automatically advance to round 2 and give the same community presentation to the judges.
Please be sure to check the short sheet guidelines which tell you how to prepare for this events, as well as, the Montana Gotta Have It list which informs you of the equipment you are responsible for bringing to SLC.
NEW FOR VIRTUAL SLC: Competitors will record a video of the 9 minute Round 2 presentation to the judges and upload by the March 26th deadline. Competitors should continue to follow all guidelines required of the presentation including proper dress and allowable props. Please reach out to Montana HOSA with any questions. Tips for how to record and instructions for uploads coming soon.
