Researched Persuasive Writing and Speaking is a Leadership Event that provides HOSA members with the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills required for researching a health issue, preparing written documentation supporting a thesis, and presenting information orally. This competitive event requires competitors to develop a speech and written paper, either for or against, the provided annual health topic. This year’s topic is “Technology Use: Does it Make us More or Less Connected?”
Please be sure to check the short sheet guidelines which tell you how to prepare for these events, as well as, the Montana Gotta Have It list which informs you of the equipment you are responsible for bringing to SLC.
The research paper should be submitted as a PDF to Montana HOSA by the March 26th deadline. NEW FOR VIRTUAL SLC: Competitors will also record a video of the 4 minute presentation to the judges and upload by the March 26th deadline. Competitors should continue to follow all guidelines required of the presentation including proper dress and allowable props. Please reach out to Montana HOSA with any questions. Tips for how to record and instructions for uploads coming soon.
