The CPR/First Aid event is an Emergency Preparedness Event for a team of 2. Please be sure to check the short sheet guidelines which tell you how to prepare for these events, as well as, the Montana Gotta Have It list which informs you of the equipment you are responsible for bringing to SLC. *Life Support Skills is an event for a single student specifically designed for students classified under IDEA.
SLC Competition Information:
1. A “mystery skill(s)” will be announced on January 23, 2023 in which competitors will be asked to film a video of themselves performing one-two of the technical skills from the skills rubric. Along with the “mystery skill”, tips for how to record and instructions for uploading the video will be released. Competitors should continue to follow all guidelines required including proper dress and professional interactions with their patient and judges. Deadline to submit the video is February 17, 2023. Be sure to look at the 2022-2023 rubrics as this is how they will be scored.
2. Both competitors must submit a video of the “mystery skill.”
3.The technical skill video above along with the online test score will determine who will move onto the round two in person competition at SLC.
4. The online testing window is February 27- March 10, 2023. If competitors advance to the in person round two competition, online test scores will be combined with the skills rubric scores at SLC for a total score. Both competitors take this exam individually and scores are averaged together.
*Life Support Skills has no online test and is for a single competitor.
