Ellen has been teaching at Hellgate High School in Missoula for the past 14 years. Prior to that she has a patchwork background that includes teaching in private schools and middle school, being a para-educator, running a university pool staff, and leading and supervising wilderness therapy trips all over the mountain west region. She has been a certified CPR/1st aid instructor for over 35 years, a lifeguard and WSI instructor, and a licensed EMT in New York and Montana. She is has earned her National Board Certification in Science and is currently the health science CTE teacher and HOSA advisor at Hellgate High School. Her favorite part of HOSA is the energy students have related to their careers, community outreach, and gaining skills they can use later in life.
