Mental Health and Wellness Project provides HOSA members with the opportunity to develop a school/community based initiative that focuses on mental health and wellness prevention and early intervention. A team of 2 to 4 members will assess the mental health and wellness needs of a school/community, implement a plan that will address the needs, and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan. The team will develop a portfolio that documents and explains the project. The team presents the project to a panel of judges, using the portfolio as documentation of their accomplishments. This event aims to inspire members to be proactive future health professionals and promote mental health and wellness prevention and early intervention within their schools/community.
NOTE: This is a pilot event which means it is not an event that can advance to the International Leadership Conference.
Please be sure to check the short sheet guidelines which tell you how to prepare for these events, as well as, the Montana Gotta Have It list which informs you of the equipment you are responsible for bringing to SLC.
A digital copy of the portfolio must be uploaded to Montana HOSA by the March 18, 2022 deadline.
